Joseph Daniels, D.O.

Joseph Daniels, DO, is a general orthopedic surgeon bringing more than 30 years of experience in orthopedic care to Southwest Orthopedic Associates, serving patients 12 and older in Fort Worth, Texas, and throughout Tarrant County.

Dr. Daniels was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. He began his professional pursuits at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, earning his Bachelor of Science. After graduation, Dr. Daniels enrolled at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, obtaining his medical degree. 

The next year, Dr. Daniels completed an orthopedic surgery residency and accepted a job as an assistant professor at the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center in Fort Worth. 

Dr. Daniels has led UNT’s orthopedic surgery residency program for more than 10 years, mentoring and teaching medical students and future surgeons. During that same time, he built a successful orthopedic clinical practice, serving teens and adults. 

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Daniels diagnoses and treats most musculoskeletal problems, but he has special interests in advanced arthroscopy, cartilage transplants, and the treatment of sports injuries. 

Dr. Daniels takes a conservative and patient-centered treatment approach. Whenever possible, he recommends non-surgical modalities that complement the body’s natural healing process.

Dr. Daniels resides in Aledo, Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports, exercising, and spending time with his four children. Dr. Daniels welcomes anyone seeking relief from musculoskeletal pain to Southwest Orthopedic Associates today.
